Jim is a proud graduate of Clay High School and a 35-year resident of the Oregon City School District. His wife, Meredith, is a Career and Tech teacher in the district, and together they are raising two sons—Greyson, an 8th grader at Fassett Junior High, and Carter, a 6th grader at Eisenhower Intermediate.
Jim started his career in public service in 2005 as a member of the Jerusalem Township Fire Department where he still serves as a Captain overseeing the fire training. Jims passion for pubilc service carried through to his profession life as a career Firefighter/Paramedic serving several area departments since 2009. When not on duty, Jim can often be found supporting his sons’ many school and extracurricular activities or enjoying the outdoor recreation opportunities the region has to offer.
Jim is running for school board to give back to the district that shaped him. His focus is on keeping our district and schools strong by staying student-centered, fiscally responsible, and supportive of the dedicated staff who serve Oregon City Schools every day.
